Are you struggling to achieve a particular objective, goal or dream in your life? Have you been working at that particular goal for a long while now and you are not making any significant progress?
Frustrating isn’t it?
This can change. Quite recently I made a profound discovery. A discovery that made me sit up and think differently every waking moment, one that made me realise why I haven’t been able to have or achieve some of my goals in spite of my working hard and diligently towards them.
That discovery did not come about by chance. For after a long while of working hard, working smart, working long hours towards one of my goals and, no matter what I did, I did not achieve it, I decided to ask myself, over and over again the question, What do I have to do to achieve my goal?
I suppose by the process of the Law of Attraction, I came across the word ‘beliefs’ in a book I was reading, and that word stuck out like a sore thumb, and for some reason I was unable to get it out of my mind.
In a short while, I am happy to say I uncovered the truth.
For me to attain my much sought after goal I needed to first isolate my beliefs about that particular goal; I needed to identify which beliefs were in line and supportive of my goal and which ones weren’t.
You see, if my beliefs were in total alignment with my goal, my journey would have had much less resistance. However, if my beliefs were not in total alignment with that goal, it is highly unlikely that I will achieve it, no matter what I did.
Those beliefs that were not in alignment were my limiting beliefs, my self sabotaging beliefs. Those beliefs will stop me cold. They would not allow me to achieve my goal. During certain times while on the journey, I might have thought that I was making some headway, but in the long run, in reality, I was not progressing as much as I wanted to.
It was only after I challenged and eliminated the limiting beliefs and had them working with me did I achieve the goal that I was working towards.
So what does this story of mine have anything to do with you?
If you are struggling, not progressing or progressing extremely slowly in living the life that you want, or to manifest the goal or objective that you want, you must first identify what is holding you back; single out all your limiting, negative beliefs in that particular area.
How?
Say you want to have high self confidence whilst giving a marketing presentation. Say to yourself, “I am going to give the best presentation ever next week.” Then notice and make note of all the “Yeah, but” or “No way. You’re going to stutter all the way through” or “You’ll be a nervous wreck.”
These are your limiting beliefs that you will need to tackle and eliminate, and then replace them with powerful self enhancing beliefs.
